Travel Information

Getting To Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is accessible by car from many West Coast cities! If you're traveling from much further away, we recommend flying into the Reno Airport (RNO) and commuting to your lodging from there.

If you're up for a scenic road trip, it is a 5 hour drive from San Francisco (SFO) airport or a 2 hour drive from Sacramento (SAC) Airport.

Airport to Hotel and Back

Transportation will not be provided to-and-from the airport. Guests may book a paid shuttle on their own (some hotels have these), rent a car, or use an uber/taxi to travel to Tahoe.

Getting to the Wedding

Parking at the venue is limited for fire-safety, so we strongly encourage guests to use the provided wedding transportation or arrange a rideshare or car service (Uber/Lyft).

Shuttle to-and-from the Venue

We will be providing shuttles to-and-from the wedding to specific hotels and locations.

⚠️ We will be deciding where the shuttle pick-ups will be based on which hotel areas and communal locations have the most folks as part of the rsvp. Additionally, given how Tahoe City is setup (west-side) most of the options in that area are a 5-minute walk from each other, so that is a highly recommended location if you want to be closer to a shuttle ⚠️

A more detailed transportation schedule will be posted on the wedding website closer to the date.

Suggested Hotels

⚠️ Note: there is a golf tournament in South Lake Tahoe that same weekend, which is affecting room block availability and pricing on the south-shore. We're working with our planners to secure blocks at Grandlibakken and Cedar Crest Cottages. Even with this, we recommend you check pricing at the other north/west-side hotel options we've listed in case one has pricing you might prefer better.⚠️

What to Wear

Aloha Formal

Our dress code is Aloha Formal — tropical elegance with a relaxed summer vibe. Think floral prints, flowing fabrics, formal hawaiian shirts, linen suits, and bold colors. A step up from casual but not as rigid as black-tie. If tropical prints aren't your style, summery wedding attire works too — light suits, flowy midi dresses, or anything festive and comfortable in the July sun.

We'll be outdoors on varied surfaces, so consider comfortable footwear — easier heels or flats recommended.
